We love reading the emails we get from Kosherwinecellar.com. The emails are always full of great info. In addition, the store just happens to be located in Teaneck, so we can hop on over and buy whatever they suggest. Today’s article is directly from The Kosher Wine Cellar, and it concerns a new wine. Read on!

Castel – “C” Blanc du Castel: An Unforgettable Wine

As one who truly appreciates fine wine, I often taste wines of varying quality from around the world and handpick the very best for my wine shop and for my wine site, KosherWineCellar.com. My philosophy is that it’s better to offer my customers fewer and better wines, than to offer a larger selection that includes mediocre wines.

Recently, I tasted a number of wines produced in Israel, since my heart and my palate remain in the Holy Land. Among the wines I tasted, I found a jewel that I felt must be part of my selection: “C” Blanc du Castel. The wine is produced by a small winery called Castel that’s tucked away in the Judean Hills (aka Harei Yehudah) and I must say that I fell in love with this wine immediately upon tasting it.

The wine displays a delicate, creamy texture, with flavors of peach and citrus, and it ends off with a pleasant nutty taste. It tastes phenomenal when very chilled and I found that it pairs well with fish and chicken dishes, as well as on its own.

Castel’s “C” Blanc du Castel is a perfect wine to enjoy with a Thanksgiving Day turkey and it’s great with grilled salmon. My personal favorite is to savor it for Kiddush on Friday night.

If you were to walk into my wine shop in Teaneck, New Jersey today and ask me which wine I recommend, I would tell you without hesitation that Castel’s “C” Blanc du Castel is my wine of the week (if not the year).

I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I have and I’d like to hear about what you think about this incredible wine after you taste it.

Wishing you the best of health and happiness.

L’chaim!
