BELINDA

Lunch today was at Belinda in the Wolfson mall. Belinda is one of our most fave places and we eat there often. The food is always fresh, tasty and most delicious. Service is always attentive and good. Chef Mollie always stops by our table to say hello, so what could be bad? Today Chef Mollie took off with the grandson to show him where she works. She brought him back with a special Mollie treat just for him. Gotta love that kind of service.

Two of us had the Dragon Bowl (rice, tofu and tons of veggies with ginger)- one without onions and one without ginger. The third of us had the kasha burgers. They were light, large and incredibly tasty. Two large patties come with a huge amount of salad. On the side they give you tehinna and a mustard based dressing that is just awesome.

The great news was that we ordered a diet coke with ice. We got a bottle of cold soda and a large glass filled with ice cubes. Wowzers! For a moment, we forgot we were in Israel, home of the warm drinks!!

We asked for a small amount of cottage cheese for the little mister (aka the grandson) and it was cheerfully brought. In fact, the waitress wanted to feed the little man so that we could eat. We thanked her and took a rain check. Amazing, that is how it is in Israel. They love babies here, and if you have a cutie, they go nuts for the baby. The grandson (at less than a year) is a world class flirt, so the waitresses where ever we go always take good care of him. Apparently that is the secret- bring a cute baby with you when you dine out here in Israel!

On the other hand, at Belinda you never need to bring a cute baby- service is great. There is an English menu and the wait staff all speak English. Generous food, amazing taste, and it all adds up to a wonderful experience.
